Annual Client Appreciation Shred Event: Declutter and Give Back

Annual Client Appreciation Shred Event

We are excited to be hosting our annual Client Appreciation Shred Event again this year! This is a small way for the team at Slotegraaf Niehoff to say thank you to our clients while prividing a safe and convenient way to dispose of sensitive documents.

This year’s event will take place on Friday, March 27th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, in our parking lot at 200 E. 3rd Street. Shredding and Storage Unlimited will be on site with their shredding truck to securely destroy documents during the event.

Why Shredding Matters

Shredding old paperwork is an important step in protecting your personal information. Many everyday documents, including bank or credit card statements, tax returns, pay stubs, medical statements or records, and utility bills, contain personal or sensitive information that should be properly destroyed once they are no longer needed. Doing so helps keep confidential information safe and reduces the risk of identity theft.

Monroe County Humane Association Donation Drive

This year, we’re also hosting a donation drive for the Monroe County Humane Association (MCHA) during our shred event. The Slotegraaf Niehoff team has long been proud supporters of MCHA, and we truly appreciate the important work they do in our community. After their facility was damaged during last month’s tornado, we’re especially grateful for the opportunity to offer a little extra support.

MCHA is a private nonprofit organization that provides resources to support pets and their families and operates independently from the City of Bloomington’s Animal Care & Control. They run several programs and initiatives to advance their mission, including a nonprofit veterinary clinic, mobile vaccine clinic, spay and neuter assistance, crisis housing, pet food pantry, and street outreach. To learn more about MCHA’s mission and programs, visit the Monroe County Humane Association website.

At this time, MCHA is most in need of:

  • Spray cheese (Easy Cheese)

  • Churu

  • Paper towels

  • Gallon-sized storage or freezer bags

  • Any variety of dog or cat food (opened or unopened)

  • Any clean, gently used pet supplies

You can find a complete list of commonly needed items on their Donations and Wishlists page.

Join us

As always, shredding is completely free for our clients, and while donations for MCHA are appreciated, they are not required. We hope you’ll stop by to safely clear out old paperwork and support a great local organization at the same time.
